No Pictures Please!

Well, Patrick and I are trying to get everything ready for Christmas next week. Our shopping is almost done, we've worked out the schedule as far as who we are visiting on what day, and we thought that we would take Kaden to the mall to have his picture taken with Santa! He did really well last year, and the picture was adorable. Well, Mr. Kaden was not going to have it this time! We got to the mall right as Santa was arriving, and we were second in line. Thank the Lord we didn't wait in a long line! The minute I set Kaden in Santa's lap, he freaked out! I tried to kneel down by Santa and put Kaden in my lap, but he latched onto me and cried. I felt so bad! I guess I should feel good knowing that Kaden is aware of strangers and doesn't like them :) So, anyway, there is no picture with Santa this year. At least we have a good story...

Other than that, not much has changed. I'm 29 weeks now and not feeling much different. I guess that's a good thing because I know I'm only going to get more uncomfortable as the weeks progress. I'm just thankful that everything has gone well up until now and am praying that the rest of the pregnancy progresses normally. My cousin and his wife just had their first baby a few weeks ago, and, since then, I have been getting more excited about Noah's arrival! There is a lot to be done before he gets here though. I'll update sometime next week... maybe after all the festivities are over! We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Welcome to our blog!

Patrick and I decided that keeping a blog would be an easy way to keep people updated on what's going on in our family. As most of you probably know, I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with our second son. We are expecting to welcome Noah into our family in either late February or early March (hopefully February!). Patrick is still working on the Surgical Trauma ICU at Richland, and he absolutely loves it. I just graduated from USC with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I am going to take a few months off to have Noah and be with the family before hopefully starting grad school next fall. I am so relieved to be done with school!

Kaden is 21 months old now and getting to be such a little man. He is extremely busy and curious about the world around him. He is so funny too! We just laugh constantly at all of his funny little mannerisms and his growing personality. He is a mama's boy, but he loves his daddy so much! We aren't sure how he's going to react to a new baby, but we know he is going to be a fantastic big brother!

I feel like I've written a lot already, and I don't want to bore my readers, so I'll leave it at that! I'll try to update regularly to keep everyone updated on the pregnancy and how Kaden is doing!
