Noah's Birthday Festivities

Well, my baby boy is two years old now! I just cannot get over how fast time flies once you have children. We have been really busy over the last few days helping our little man celebrate his special day and are finally starting to recuperate from a festive weekend that started on Thursday.

Thursday was Noah's actual birthday. We started him off bright and early opening up his birthday present from us before Kaden went to school. Because Kaden is gone in the mornings for preschool and Patrick is gone in the afternoon for class, we decided to let him open it when everyone would be here :) He got his very own train set, and he absolutely loves it (and so does Kaden)! We spent the day around the house and went to Copper River to eat birthday dinner that evening. Patrick met us after class, and his brother, A.J., was able to come too. The boys love A.J., so it's always a treat when he's able to come to things! After dinner we walked over to Marble Slab for some ice cream (because my 3 tries at a dump truck birthday cake were all epic failures) and then headed home for baths and bedtime.

On Saturday we hosted Noah's birthday party at my mom's house. We went with a construction theme this year because Noah loves dump trucks and diggers, and I really think it turned out cute! The kids got to decorate hard hats and then they got to build things with the blocks and knock them over with trucks. We ate Noah's yummy (store-bought) birthday cake and then he got to open presents. We were really happy that our family was able to celebrate Noah's special day with us and so appreciative of all the gifts given to him. He is definitely having a blast with all of them now! We had so much fun celebrating Noah's "birthday weekend" and are going to relax for a little while before things get cranked back up for Kaden's birthday next week!
