We have been very busy and have a lot going on right now! I have been super busy planning Noah's baptism and my parents' 30th anniversary party (both of which are taking place next weekend). I am extremely excited about both events, but it has taken a lot of work and time to make it happen, and I will be a little glad when they are over :) Also, Patrick starts his new position at the hospital tomorrow! It is going to be so nice having him here on the weekends, even if it means he'll be gone every weekday. I guess I am officially a stay-at-home mom now, so I know that I will have my hands full too during the day. I'm really excited about it, though, especially since my mom is about to be done with school for the summer and we will be over there a lot during the day! Kaden has been having a blast lately at my mom's house riding on the tricycle and "mowing the lawn," so I know that we will be all right with Patrick at work :) We will miss him though!
Speaking of Kaden, he has a lot of exciting things going on right now, too! He did end up qualifying for speech services, so he will now be receiving speech therapy and early intervention. It's going to be crazy around here on Tuesdays because both ladies will be coming that day at different times. I feel so blessed that Kaden has taken to these services so well; he is so comfortable with the ladies which makes it so much more enjoyable. Another exciting development in Kaden's life is that we have enrolled him in preschool for the fall. He will go two half-days every week, which will be a nice break for mommy and a good opportunity for him to be around other children his own age. Patrick and I bought Kaden a little swimming pool to put in the backyard, and we let him in it for the first time yesterday. He had such a good time! It has an inflatable cover, so he isn't sitting out in the direct sunlight which is nice because the boy has my fair skin. Hopefully, Noah will be able to join him in when he gets a little bigger!
Noah is just getting bigger by the minute! He is finally starting to sleep through the night more consistently which has been such a blessing for me! He really only wakes up during the night about once or twice a week, so no complaints there. He is very vocal and loves to be talked to, and he is smiling more than ever. He has discovered his hands and is constantly sucking on them which is really adorable! He is so strong and loves to "stand up" on our laps as long as we are holding his hands. As I mentioned before, we are having him baptized later this month, and we are really excited about that. Now that Patrick isn't working on the weekends, we will be able to go to church more regularly and it is so important to us that both boys are baptized.
Between Patrick starting his new job, the anniversary party, and the baptism, I doubt I'll be updating anytime in the next two weeks. Enjoy the pictures and pray for us that all these big events go smoothly!
Time sure does get away from us
